All important info for the on-site visit
The Forum of Swiss History Schwyz is the headquarters of the Swiss National Museum in Central Switzerland. From the outside, the Museum is a Baroque granary and armoury dating from 1711; inside, visitors will be enchanted by its contemporary and spacious architecture.
On the three upper floors, the Museum looks at the period before the emergence of the old Confederation in the Middle Ages with the permanent Exhibition Switzerland in the Making. The media stations allow visitors to have fun while engaging more deeply with the topics covered by the exhibits.
The regularly changing exhibitions on the lower level are presenting current issues. Visitor amenities include a cafeteria and a museumsshop.
