The Museum

Enge Bankreihen, knarrende Sitze, große dunkle Tafeln: Aus heutiger Sicht ist kaum vorstellbar, wie anders der Unterricht früher war. Im Schulmuseum Friedrichshafen, eines der größten seiner Art in Deutschland, können Sie das hautnah erleben - und über eine schier endlose Sammlung an historischen Lehrmaterialen und teils kuriosen Exponaten aus mehreren hundert Jahren Schulalltag staunen. In drei historischen Klassenzimmern aus 1850, 1900 und 1930 nehmen Sie in den engen Schulbänken von anno dazumal Platz, entziffern alte Tafelbeschriftungen und erleben selbst das Schreibgefühl, wenn der Griffel auf der Schiefertafel kratzt. Da wird Geschichte lebendig und ein Erlebnis für alle Sinne.

Guided tours

In den offenen Sonntags- und Ferienführungen stellt das Schulmuseum die Highlights des Hauses vor und zeigt anhand der drei historischen Klassenräume und der zahllosen Exponate aus der Schulgeschichte, wie die Entwicklung von Politik, Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft Einfluss auf den Kinder- und Schulalltag hatte.

Die Führung findet jeden zweiten und vierten Sonntag im Monat sowie an Donnerstagen in sämtlichen Schulferien statt. Sie dauert ca. 30 Minuten und ist im Eintritt enthalten.
