Ein kleines Relief in der archäologischen Abteilung des Stadtmuseums zeigt eine weibliche Figur mit einem Zweig in der Hand. Wer war die Dame und was ist hier dargestellt? Der Vortrag von Dr. Martin Kemkes (Archäologisches Landesmuseum – Zentrales Fundarchiv) will dieses Geheimnis lüften und zugleich den Blick weiten auf die religiösen Verhältnisse zur Zeit der Römer am Oberrhein. Die vermeintlich einheitliche römische Religion entpuppt sich dabei als ein dynamisches System mit römischen, keltischen und germanischen Einflüssen – Religion als Spiegelbild einer multikulturellen Gesellschaft.
Der Vortrag findet statt im Rahmen der diesjährigen Veranstaltungsreihe zur Archäologie am Oberrhein, die in Zusammenarbeit des Stadtmuseums Rastatt und des Zentralen Fundarchivs des Archäologischen Landesmuseums Baden-Württemberg organisiert wird.
